Idelys Vazquez, the FC Miami City defender has signed her first professional contract with Yumbo Femenino in South America.

After an impressive season playing in FC Miami City’s historic, inaugural campaign in the USL W, Vazquez could not be more excited to begin her career at the highest level.

“I am so grateful to have been a part of FC Miami City this past year”, said Vazquez.

“The girls are super talented, and the coaching staff is wonderful. They have really helped me with my process of becoming a professional footballer, and I couldn’t be any more blessed. Thank you, FC Miami City, for all you have done for me.”

Our USL W side helped the star defender, who has received multiple call ups to the Puerto Rican National Team, gain exposure and assisted her in receiving this life-changing contract.

“Thanks to God, my family, my coaches, and everyone, who in one way or another, supported me and guided me to be the player I am today, managing to sign my first professional football contract in Colombia. I’m extremely happy and the best is yet to come”, said Vazquez via Instagram.
