Youssoupha’s football education began at PSG Academy Pro Senegal in Saly, where under the guidance of Alioune Touré, Technical Director and former professional international player, along with the entire PSG Academy Pro Technical Staff, he developed not only his technical skills but also his strong character. As Alioune recalls, Youssoupha was a player with character and personality, serious and hardworking — who wasn’t afraid to face challenges head-on.
After his foundational training in Senegal, Youssoupha made a rapid ascent. Within just a few months, Strive Football Group opened the doors to Europe for him, where he transitioned from competing in France’s National 3 league with Thonon Evian Grand Genève FC — a club owned by Strive Football Group and a crucial stepping stone in our player development pathway — to playing in the UEFA Champions League with Slavia Prague.
What makes this journey feel almost like a fairy tale is Youssoupha’s remarkable debut on Europe’s biggest stage: scoring two goals in his very first Champions League match, earning Man of the Match honors — the most prestigious club competition in European football. This extraordinary achievement underlines not only his talent but also Strive Football Group’s global structure and mission in developing and elevating players.
